Hello all,my question is would 2 175w metal halides provide proper lighting to grow anenomes maybe some corals later in a 55gl tank?Ive decided I want an anenomes for my clowns?? Maybe venture further later?Would this be enough??Thankx all for any help.

most definitely enough! you probably keep sps corals towards the top of the tank. i don't think you have too many limitations with that light.

Agreed. I have a 55 and I have purchased two 175MH fixturew w/10,000k bulbs. I am going to supplement them with T5 actinics for some blue color. This tank currently has 260w worth of compact fluorescent lighting. Since the 55 is 20" deep, keep your SPS in the mid and upper section of the tank.

Thankx for your input sales weasal and reefsahoy,I was thinking that 2 175wMH would do most anything I wanted.Im new to SW so Im reading and asking way before I do.Thankx again Im so getting more and more fascinated with this hobby.
