Hi Randy -
Some PVC fittings I'd like to use in my tank come with barcode labels that leave a sticky residue when they're removed. The residue is not water soluble and is difficult to manually remove. It comes off easily with an adhesive remover (Goof Off) that contains 1-5% 2-(2-Methoxyethoxy)ethanol, and 90-95% Xylene (mixed isomers). Is it ok to use that adhesive remover on parts that are going to go into the tank? If so, afterwards, should I do anything more than just rinsing the parts with water before putting them in the tank?
Thanks,
- Mark
