Any advice on where to buy cheap Mexican Red Leg Hermit Crabs?
I live around miami gardens, but work in the hollywood area, so anywhere close to those area would be great.

thanks in advance.

Closest to Hollywood is Amazing Reef Life in Dania and Coral Reef Farm right off Stirling and 95. Check the LFS spreadsheet at the top of the forum for contact info and give them a call to see if they have any in stock.

In the Miami Gardens area there's:

Fish Collection
1609 NE 163rd St, North Miami Bch, FL - (305) 944-3416

I used to go there when I lived in the area. They had a nice selection of critters last time I was there, about a year ago.

I would guess you would find some mexican red leg hermits of the coast of mexico. but no i've got no idea. I'm gettin sick of my hermits nocking over all my frags. I guess i should just glue them down, but I move them around so often that I don't want to glue them yet! good luck finding em!

heh heh.
Hermits, shmermits. I've got a Niger Trigger that'll pick up any frag that's not secured, carry it across the tank and drop it. He does that with hermit crabs and snails, too. Wheeeee...
Glue those suckers down, they come loose half the time anyway.

Oh man, Pedro, I would go insane. I love the idea of having a trigger too, just too terrified of them eating my corals and powerhead cables.

My astrea snails knock my frags down if they're not the long stemmed ones and put into the frag rack firmly. I lost a really nice superman frag that way and a green slimer. How do you keep a frag rack with the trigger? Or you set up a frag tank or enclose it or something I guess.

I definitely wouldn't put a trigger in a frag tank, that's the proverbial "bull in a china shop". In my 90, I just secure the frags with IC Gel and/or epoxy. The trigger doesn't nibble on the corals or rocks, he's totally a predator. He's just such a beautiful, cool fish to watch, kind of the "Dennis the Menace" of the tank.

BTW, sorry for the hijack, clock'

Exotic Aquatic had some the last time I was there. I would give any store a call first to make sure.
