Hi Guys

Just some background ive got a 150 gallon and my cousin has experienced a major tank crash could only save a handfull of his livestock .
Basically has distributed what he has to all his friends .

Ive just got his Gold Striped Maroon Clown pair hosting in a Sebae Anemone.

The tanks other inhabitants are 4 blue green chromis , a blue starfish, black sea cucumber, handful of snails and one hermit.

My next eventual purchase would have been a clown pair but yeh still would have preferred to wait. But these guys aint going anywhere and have grown on me a very cute couple.

Introduced the anemone and pair together yesterday in the same bag.

Placed the anemone on live rock and appears to be happy since it attached itself in no time.

The clowns up untill last night would not leave the anemone.
This morning the bigger one of the pair ventured out and during feeding time soon after the smaller one came.

Just wondering what i can do to make their stay comfortable any help/ideas.

They are eating and happy. Give them time to adapt. If poor eating is an issue, you may try to soak their food with a drop or two of garlic juice, which acts as an atractant.

anything else ?

Some folks will try and protect the anemone while it is eating. They either chase the clowns away or put something over the anemone so they can't steal the food. I just prefer to distract/feed the fish.

good water quality, most clowns are pretty tough and I'm sure they will be fine. Just watch so they don't abuse that sebae too much.

Hi guys

Sorry for the late reply

Good news the clowns are feasting like pigs , and have also shown their confidence to explore the tank.

Had to change the rock formation unfortunately.

The Serbae seemed happy but then started to move about towards the powerhead.

During the rock change i decided to move the rock piece the serbae was on to a different location.

I had a small powerhead lying around decided to hook it up and hide it under the rockwork.

Moved the serbae close to the opening it now has a medium indirect waterflow and some movement. Dunno how happy it is.

As far as feeding just been dropping small chunks of frozen marine dinner mix i feed the chromis and clowns in the mouth while ushering the clowns away.
Ive heard using a turkey blaster makes things alot easier.

I have noticed however a slight change in colour and a bit worried. Did a check of my water , everything is normal.

It was white , now its loosing a little bit of colour.

Should i be worried?

Yeh i shud change that signature was intially looking at a FOWLR tank but i have decided to go Reef.

My lights right now are Power Compact Fluros

4 x 55 Watt Lights , Each Fitting Has Two Tubes - One White One Blue Actic. So In total 8 Tubes 4 White 4 Blue.

Will eventually upgrade to halides as my experience grows & tank matures.

if your sebea is/was white its ill. sebea's should be a tanish color with colored tips. mine is tan with green tips. best thing for it is to feed it alot and make sure you have proper lighting. might want to post a pic and make sure its a sebea also my gsm wont even go near my sebea.
