algae bloom

I have set up my tank over 3 weeks ago now using only dry rock in a 75l tank. I havebeen ghost feeding and have readinga of ammonia etc but when should I start seeing algae growth?

Algae will come..

You will probably start seeing the brown diatoms first.

Don't worry you will wake up one morning and there it is

The diatoms will happen but using a true live culture dosing of bacteria helped within days for me to develop cyano. You can get various brands at your local big box pet store or LFS
