Can anyone identify this algae for me so I can try find the cause. The tank has only been running a few weeks but most of the stock was transferred from another tank. I'm thinking maybe silicate might be the problem. But I'm not sure*

Wow...that's crazy looking! It looks like bleached hair algae.

Your tank has only been up a few weeks and you already have that many corals in it?

I transferred everything except the sand from my old tank into the bigger one. I also added some new rock

Definitely caused by stirring things up in your original rock or something dying off. Keep up on filtration and nutrient export methods.
