my diy dripper failed cause tank to go over 9.0 ph for how long I don't know at least 6 hours.Got it under control (dosed vinegar)just watching it and testing.Anyone have this happen to them?Some corals losing color (sps), lps tight lipped ,fish ok.Milky water.Do see some polyps though .56 diff coral species in tank mostly sps.I dose soda ash .System holds 175 gallons total I think dosed at least 150ml .Do you think this is the cause of the problem?

How long did you dose for? If it was 150ml in like one hour, I would probably do a big water change. If it was over the course of a day 150ml really isnt that much depending on how heavily stalk with hard corals your tank is.

Biggest problem is if your low, then high, then low again in the course of one day that really jacks with the corals (immediate changes that is).

Kinda hard to tell how long ?Filled dosser before lights out at 8:30 then when I woke up in the morning could smell tank in house went right to it at that's what I found.Diy dosser will hold 1 liter .Never topped it off ,thank god The thing failed and let it all go in at once .Roughly 150 ml .Don't see any thing white dead yet.But sure I will, dam I'm ****ed!!!!:furious:
