Hey Gang,

Unfortunately I have to get rid of all of my tanks on extremely short notice due to health issues in my family. I have 2 fish only tanks and 1 reef tank, details below. No reasonable offers refused...seriously, and maybe no unreasonable offers refused due to my situation. Call Darren at 599-3003 or 925-525-4844. I'd love to get rid of complete set-ups but will entertain offers on livestock/rock to empty out tanks to get them moved as well.

240 Gallon Fish Only Tank - 240 gal plexiglass tank with custom built oak stand and canopy. Tank is 8ft x 2ft x 2ft and has a DIY sump and overflow box w/pump, Fluval 404, three 48 in T5 fixtures, heater, and well over 200 lbs of live rock.

The 240 has the following fish:

Naso Tang 12in
Virgate (?) Rabbitfish 10in
Red Coris Wrasse 12in
Checkerboard Wrasse 10in
Majestic Angel 7 in
Yellow Tang 5 in
Pyramid Butterfly 5in
Argula/Threadfin Butterfly 5in
Pair of Percula Clowns 3in each
Dragon Goby 4in
Algae Blenny 4in

I have a 110 gallon tall show tank set up as fish only. It's 48 x 36 x 16 with an Oak Stand that is finished front and back so the tank is "see thru" and visible from both sides. It has an undergravel filter with
4 power heads, Fluval 404, heater, 24 in T5 fixture and 48 in standard fixture.

This tank has about 40-50 lbs of live rock and the following fish:

Green Bird Wrasse 5-6in
Coris Wrasse 4-5in
Majestic Wrasse 5in
Lionfish 8-9in

125 Gallon Reef Tank - This is a mature reef that has been set up for almost 5 years with tons of growth (some good, some not so good). It has some hair algae going and about 10-20 visible aiptasia at the moment, but there's a crew of peppermint shrimp working on those.....with a little maintenance (or re-set up after moving) it cleans up well and looks good. It has several 24in compact fluorescents included but I'm keeping the Halides I've been running. The tank has a sump with dual overflows and sump pump, heater, protein skimmer, and 3 Korilia circulation pumps.

The reef tank has tons of mushrooms and xenia/waving hand that have gone wild in areas of the tank, with easily 100-200 xenia covering large chunks of live rock. There are also numerous kenyan tree corals that have spread out around the tank. The best pieces in the tank are likely the ricordea....a total of 40 or more, one large piece with about 20 heads and 3 others with 8 to 10 each in various colors (a couple photos at http://modesto.craigslist.org/hsh/2242413473.htm ). There are also assorted zoas in the tank, with the best being several groups of electric yellow zoas (one with over 100 heads and two one with about 30), also some pinks and purples that are nice. Lots of other little things here and there that have sprung up in 5 years, and the tank has about 200 lbs of live rock.

Other livestock:
2 Brittlestars (and lots of babies at times)
Purple lobster (not seen in 2 years but I know he's still there and BIG by now)
Cleaning Crew (hermits, snails)

Fish:
2 Lyretale Antheas (maldives) 2 & 3in
2 large Green Chromis 3in
Hawkfish 4in
Purple Tang 5in
Neon Dottyback 3in
Starry Blenny 4in
Pajama Cardinal 2in
Coral Beauty 4in

In addition to above listed items I have lots of other accessories, chemicals, additives, pumps, and RO/DI system that I will throw in or make good deals on....I need to be out of the fish business
as soon as possible.

Thanks!!

Thanks for the tip Dan. They can dump me if they like but that seems kind of lame since I'm pretty much giving these guys away to find good homes...not like I'm looking to make a buck. But that's cool....I suppose they have to enforce the "rules" however bogus and unfriendly they are to saving the critters we all supposedly care about.

yeah the rules are pretty lame around here
good luck with your sale I'd buy the 240 if I had any money

My cousin is trying to work a deal on a 450gallon for me right now=) I doubt it will pan out but if it does... Im thinking Shark tank=)

But yeah if i won the lottery I would have like a 10,000 sq ft house and Id have a tank in every room and a saltwater shark pond built into one room I wouldn't work I'd just drive my lamborghini to the fish store occasionally and devote all my time to the tanks LOL

Thanks

Thanks

Thanks for the assitance Gang. I am...oh, was...as bad as Dan too so this is killing me. I can't even stop at sharks, I'd have whales given enough space...here's some murals I did recently

If any reefers like marine art check out my other website too:

Thanks to the Mod's as well for leaving this up long enough to find homes for everyone. The 125 Reef and the 110 Fish only have sold and the 240 has a couple potential takers who probably can't say no for the ridiculous price.

Yeah....turning $5000 plus in investments into a quick $800 or so in one short day.....God I think I'm going to be sick.

Thanks again.
DG

OHHHHH you painted those whales on the sides of the water tank I love those murals they are sooooo amazing and realistic!!! I always admire them when i drive by I stopped near last weekend along side the road for a few minutes just to look at them

Thanks Dan...yep thoe ones in Livermore are mine. I also have a mural in San Leandro, south of the San Leandro Marina at the start of one segement of the Bay Trail by the Monarch Golf Course, and another big one in San Lorenzo further down the Bay trail at the Oro Loma wastewater treatment plant.

My bedroom in my old house used to be floor to celing ocean with fish corals and dolphins....hated to move. Now that I had to dump my tanks maybe I'll just paint the living room walls. ;)

Thanks again for all the calls from NVS folks that helped get my critters to safe homes.
