Hi, Eric. I haven't been on in a while as I took down my 65g reef in hopes of soon setting up a better system with a 90g I have.
Anyhow, I have a 10g soft coral tank that lost complete power for I am not sure how long exactly, at least 24hrs. I noticed by looking in on it Monday morning to fiind many neat creatures out and idle, a huge starfish for one, and many tiny stars at the top. When I got power back to the tank everything looked bad, but my precious pom pom xenia looked to be melting. I did about a 30% water change and aerated with a good airstone, the 1 fish I have is fine, and all other coral seems to have recovered save a couple of button polyps. My xenia is not dead, but is looking very sad still and i'm wondering if you'd have any idea as to how long it might take this coral to recover after an incident such as this (low oxygen for >24hrs).
Thanks for any insight.
Angela.
