Well I have been trying to finish the Stand & Hood this weekend, got everything done except the base trim and finish the painting. All that is left after this is to install the sump and then I will be ready to spend some money. This is my first attempt at building a Stand & Hood it is not perfect but I like how it came out. I want to thank Norm (This Old House) for teaching me not to cut my fingers off....

Here are the (2) 110 Watt VHO's

Here are the (2) 250 Watt XM 10K I did notice that they are very yellow like some have said we will see how they do when they get burned in. Now this pic was taken only about 45 sec. after they ignited.

are those wires going to be hanging out like that?

edit: i mean out of the wall and back to the tank, not the ones coming out of the tank. i can understand the ones in the tank for now, when you are just testing things out.

but those ones behind the tank plugging into the wall look a little unpleasing

the XM's I have dont look very yellow.. they were supposed to have been used for approx. 100 hours though before I put them in.
