Ammomia just sky rocketed after using Aqua-Pure

Just checked my Ammonia level and o my goodness it is at 3.0 almost 4.0 after using this stuff. My level was a little high.05 so i used this. The container stated that if after using and level goes extremly high replace media immeditaly. It does not clarify if I replace the same media which would be the ammonia reducer or with other. PLEASE help once more tonight.

Put fresh ammonia reducer in tank and came down almost to 0 in a few mins.
