Ammonia ghost feeding

My cycle appears to be almost done, but I don't plan on adding livestock for another month or so. How often and how much should I ghost feed the tank with ammonia or food in order to maintain the beneficial bacteria? Tank is 120g Thanks in advance!!!

Hmm you shouldn’t have to feed much unless you plan to completely overstock the tank right away. Most of the bacteria should live without much feeding

Just let the process unfold without feeding- if the cycle is nearly done, you've done a fine job in getting it this far and the cycle could be thrown off again with artificial measures. That idea goes to the notion of only ever adding CA, mag and alk, and then being able to trouble shoot more clearly since you can narrow down what actually is going on in the tank without additive cover-up.
