Saw the stickied thread and got excited.
Saw 2016 and was disappointed.
Saw "Annual" and became hopeful...

(I work for Lawley in Rochester so that caught my eye as well.) lol

Well get excited because QCFF 2017 is just months away, full release coming soon! :bounce1:

Is it a "retail" swap? Or are there deals to be had. I'm an old fart. Care more about shapes and colors than names, trade, or future frag value.

^^^ Exactly right Cully! I'm planning on making the drive just hope its not crazy prices. I just can't bring myself to pay a hundred or more for a 1/4" straight piece of stick with no branches.

I say GO GO GO

I say GO GO GO

My wife & I have gone the past 2 years and can't recommend it enough. Besides, they have a bar downstairs from the main hall, and what's better than shopping for coral while drinking beer??

Both times we've arrived at least 1 hour after opening. We've heard from folks that get there at the very beginning that the line can be out the door and it's quite busy. We like getting there a little bit later because it's not so crowded. So, maybe we miss out on some deals, but so what? I think there's plenty of good deals to be had, both from the retail sellers as well as the hobbyists that setup smaller tanks. Sure, Jason Fox was there too... We drooled over his stuff, but it's way out of our league (and price range).

The other reason we like arriving a little later is that we can stay until they draw for the raffle. Last year we actually made out pretty well, winning 2 gift certificates! I think it's a good time even if we're not winning anything.

And, of course, sometimes if you hold out to the end, folks are looking to unload stuff and might be a little more willing to haggle or put together a package deal.

Out of curiosity, Cully, where did you see that 4/2 date? I haven't been able to find a date yet (but I'm hoping that's not it, since I might be out of town for work which would SUCK).

I saw it listed on a vendors list of travel dates. It was random that I saw it and I doubt I could find it again. Their travel schedule showed them appearing at the QC swap in Buffalo NY 4/2.
