I have found a unbelievable juv. emperor. I am in the process of setting up my 220 gallon tank. I have a 90 and 55 that have been running for 2 years. I was wondering if I could put the emperor in the 55 for a few months while the 220 is cycling. I have a 2 inche tomato clown and a 2inch royal gramma. In the 55. let me knwo what you think.

thanks

Shouldn't be a problem in the 55gal tank, specially if it's a small Juv. Just make sure the 55 has good water quailty and you should be ok. Actually it would probably be good to hold it in the 55 for a # of months to see that it's doing well before placing it in the larger tank. Also if you didn't QT the fish the 55 would give you the op to do it.

I agree with marrone. Assuming it's a small juvi, the smaller tank will allow you to really keep an eye on it, make sure it is eating well, accepting all foods vigorously, before being introduced to the large tank.
