Why does it not thrive in my tank? What are its needs? non pristine water, have that... flow, have that... high light, have that... Why is it so picky?! I have never gotten it to grow

I just got some more.. Right now I have a:
10 gal
250w MH 20" off water
No neighboring corals
1 goby/shrimp pair.
That's it.
Parameters perfect.

Any Ideas?

Once it takes off you may regret having it. It can grow really fast with some nitrates in the water. I keep a colony on the sandbed away from the rocks to help stop it from spreading.

Dirty the water up a bit. Make sure the salinity stays constant. Dim the lights. I have a ton of it growing in a 10gallon with 2 13watt 6500 comapct flourecent bulbs.

Thats what I'm trying but about the lights... I have a 18 w 10k light and they wont open up.. Thats why I put the halides on.

try using some Marc Weiss coral vital. It will help jump start it. If I had the ability to ship coraly I would give you a bunch. I get about 2 cup fulls of antheilia frags a week

I will try that. I really like Anthelia, I have a couple of frags, they just attached to a rock.. I will post a video and can you tell me if they look like they get enough flow and stuff like that.

And well I know the disclaimer of some people that it will grow like weeds, but, I really like the look of it :D I usually take the free frags people give out but they end up just surviving.. And My goal it to make it thrive and flourish!
