Is this Ok? The clam doesn't seem to be irritated , but the anthellia is touching the mantle.

I just got my first clam in 3 years (killed 2 beauties in my first year and was scared off) --

Thanks,
Shelly

It should be just fine. It may react to it for a day or so and get use to it. If it does not then move it if you can. From your post it sounds like it is not being agitated by it so I would leave it alone.

I'd remove the anthellia, you can use tweezers to peel back the touching area. I've never lost a clam to anthellia, but I know it's beaten back corals. With clams I dont like to take the chance of loosing one.
