Well yesterday I bought 3 anthias 2 "Pseaudanthias tuka", 1 "Pseudanthias Pleurotaenia", the problem they don't want to eat, I tried with Tetra Marine Flakes, Spectrum Pellets, With a little animals called "Artemia" (in spanish), and they dont want to eat!, also I bought 4 Cromis Viridis that eat all and are not too shy like anthias.

What can I do? I dont want to lose it =(.

The tukas are hard to get to eat. First thing is don't try to feed them flakes or pellets. You need to try to get to eat some frozen plankton, mysid, or brine shrimp. You may have to tempt them w/ some LIVE brine shrimp. But, definitely stop trying to feed them the flakes, or pellets. I have 3 lyrentails and they will not eat pellets or flakes.
Please QT them before you put them in your display. It will help, they will not have to compete for food in Qt. Also give them a day or two before you start to worry. Good Luck. Anthias are awesome.

Return the tuka's. Nothing else to say about them except they should be on the do NOT collect list.

Can we get a little more info about your tank? Squarebacks are hit or miss. Most are miss not surviving longeterm.

I agree with lilchris. The Lyretail Anthias I've had all took a little while to adapt to flake, pellets and even frozen foods. I found that they needed live brine for the first week and then slowly switched over to frozen brine and mysis. The male Lyretail I had was the most difficult. It took him a few weeks to fully swithc over to the frozen foods. It then took about 6 months before he would eat flakes. The female Lyretails I have now eat flake, pellets, frozen mysis and frozen brine. It took then a few weeks before they started to eat the flakes and only a couple of days to switch to frozen. The key is also to get one that is eatting at the LFS. I've passed on some becuase they wouldn't eat in the store. HTH

Well, I want to say thanks to all.

I have 3 new, 2 bad, 1 good :S

Starting with the bads, Mi Pseudanthias Pleurotaenia died yesterday in the night because the other anthias was bothered her alot.....

And today in the morning a saw one Tuka dead in one of mi Seio(M1100) bombs, I think this happen cause they dont ate anything.... (I dont know how many time they dont eat).

The good one is the only Tuka anthias survive its not too shy like the other day and she is swimming with the chromis school for few times, also she is starting too eat live brine shrimp, and a few of shrimp mash.

I hope this anthia live its really cool.
