Anti-fatigue Mat Under Sump/Pump

Has anyone ever put the rubber anti-fatigue floor mat used in restaurants under their sump/pump in a cabinet? My thought is it would help reduce noise/vibration. Could basically line the whole bottom of the cabinet with it.

Found a 3'x3' piece with holes at Home Depot for under $20.

Anything I should consider?

I use mouse pads myself.

The pump is a Sequence Dart. I'll have lots of water flowing through the sump/pump.

A dart is quiet as is. Use a mousepad and turn it upside down. The most silent option is a pillowcase filled with sand. Plus acoustic foam lining the inside of the cabinet.
