I don't like water changes, so I've designed my 24G nanocube to try to re-incorporate as much of the bioload naturally as possible, leaving me with about 10% waterchange per month and no measurable nitrates (goal achieved). To this end, I started with a baseball-sized chunk of Caulerpa in the lower corner of my display, and as desired, it's growing like mad .
Of course, this leaves me with a need to export Caulerpa from the system from time to time, and after throwing away about a softball-sized clump, I realized this may be useful for someone with a smaller tank or brand new refigium.
Next time I do this, is there anyone who may want a zip-lock sized bag full of Caulerpa? I'm happy to ship at cost, I just don't like throwing things away if it's not necessary... I imagine I'll have a bag or so per month - not a ton, but may be helpful for a few people...
