Some hard corals can be fine under PC. They just won't thrive and will never have great color. You can try some Pocillapora, birdsnest, or some others.

That is also my limited experience with sps under PC lights. I was up late last night putting together my new retro Icecap T5, i will give it six months if not happy i will then go with the gold standard "MH" for me.
Not all hard corals will brown out under PC, they will not be vivid either. I personally have not had much luck with SPS/hard corals coloring up under PCs, but they did grow really well. Anyone who has seen that big brown plating montipora capricornis in my 24g knows what I'm talking about if/when they've seen the frags it produces.
db, you should notice a difference within weeks to a month for most corals. Some longer, some can change in a day. Make sure to take progression pics so you and we can all see the color and growth changes
