Any One Have Hard Coral ?

if pat still does Fragstravaganza on Wednesdays, then it's only like $5 for a frag of most corals, and they're good sized nice frags too.

Just curious...you gave up the clam due to you have only PC lighting....right? Why would you want hard corals?

Some hard corals can be fine under PC. They just won't thrive and will never have great color. You can try some Pocillapora, birdsnest, or some others.

That is also my limited experience with sps under PC lights. I was up late last night putting together my new retro Icecap T5, i will give it six months if not happy i will then go with the gold standard "MH" for me.

Not all hard corals will brown out under PC, they will not be vivid either. I personally have not had much luck with SPS/hard corals coloring up under PCs, but they did grow really well. Anyone who has seen that big brown plating montipora capricornis in my 24g knows what I'm talking about if/when they've seen the frags it produces.

db, you should notice a difference within weeks to a month for most corals. Some longer, some can change in a day. Make sure to take progression pics so you and we can all see the color and growth changes :)

I had digitata and great caps under pc's...but they had slowish growth. The caps I had were the orange and the green.
