That is not a ricordea. I believe it's a frilly mushroom, and have known to do that.

At least from this photo, would be better to ID without the puffed up polyps.

I'm 99% sure its a ricordea. There's an old thread buried here somewhere where I asked for an ID.

I think it's getting too much light.

Yeah it is getting too much light. I recently upgraded my lighting, and the color washed a bit. But before that the polyps have blown up like this.

Mine that puff up something like that get too much light too. HMMM... Might want to move it before it decides death is a better option if you care about it.

Its done this before under much lower light. This is the only like this that I have that does this. It has split off many babies, and none of them puff up.
