Yea there is a few of us in the area.
I'm in Merrillville and I have a buddy that lives in Highland and on ethat lives in sherrillville.

The Ark in Merrillville, Exotic Aquatics in Highland, Pet Haven in Portage, Aquatica in Tinley Park, Pet Playground in Hammond

how is pet haven I have never been there. The rest I have been to quite alot. In fact I will be going to Exotic aquatics today as it is only minutes from my house. Have you tried aquascapes in hobart? they arent so bad either.

Yea I forgot about that place, the last time I was there they didn't have anything in stock. Pet Haven is a small house that was turned into a pet shop years ago. The basement is all fish they have some nice marshall island rock, tonga, and fiji. They have some of the best corals I've seen in the area, a little higher priced than some others, but very nice stuff. They don't have much in salt fish. They are on RT6(Ridge Road) just West of RT49 on the North side of the road . Be careful so you don't pass up the place.
There also is Corals Edge on RT6 and County Line Road.

I'm in La Porte/Michigan City. No real nice shops around here. :(
Sometimes I go to Valpo. pet & hobbies
There used to be a live rock place off of I-94, but I think they closed. Anybody know the place I'm talking about?
They kept live rock in a green house in huge rubbermaid containers and it was a pretty good deal, like $4 lb., pick your own Fiji.
Now I don't know where to get more Live Rock?

BTW... I'm looking for a 75gal. RR if anyone in the area can help me out. Also could use some Southdown.

FYI, that place used to be called Harbor Aquatics.

Sad to see that the closed down. PA is a good place for Liverock. I too am in the market for some SD sand. I live in Granger, IN, moved from Aurora, IL. Alot more shops in the Chicagoland area.

Yeah, that's the place. Oh well, I'll miss them. Especially since I'm upgrading tanks now.

I'll try PA and see how much shipping would be for some LR. Thanks.

I heard that the kid from the place on I-94 is getting ready to open his own shop some where in Portage, IN, and he is going to get his supplies from the same people his parents got their's from.
And hopefully close to the same prices too.
