anyone ever use this base rock?

im interested in buying some base rock, I was thinking of going w/ reef bones but I also found this.....

A petstore in my state carries both the atlantic and the indonesian. dont be fooled by the description, there are multiple pieces per 50lbs box.

does anyone have any experience w/ them?

i liked Carrib sea rock much better, and they have a better selection of sizes and density. But i dont think you can order it directly from them off the net.

I ordered base rock from reeferrock.com. I like that place because he will send you a picture of the exact rock he is shipping you before you place your order. If you want something other than what is in the picture you can call him and have him change it out. Great customer service and the rock was great too.

so, i take it you've bought the rock from naturesocean before?
there's a petstore in the next city over which sells both, online even for very low shipping. the carib sea is more expensive.

seems to have the best prices, but i ordered over 9 days ago and haven't gotten it yet.
i've heard from many people that shipping takes forever from there, but the peices are good.

thanks for the recommendation, prices look great and the rock dosnt look bad either.

I wasn't very impressed with the hirocks rock. Its a rather dense rock. Its been in the ground too long, and many of the small pores that you want in the rock have been filled with sedement. However, I don't know if any of the other places to buy dry rock are any better.
