anyone has a core drill?

Rogger the rental store will rent the cores and the heavy duty drill to match it. I would drill from the outside to inside due the amount of dust. predrill a small pilot hole from the inside first to mark the location on the outside.

If you're going the way of tool rental and can't find anywhere to borrow one, then you might want to get in contact with Chris (Ludwigia73) because if I remember correctly he works at a tool rental place and could probably hook you up. He's a nice guy as well.

Yeah rental is my primary option and I did called Chris and he is going to help, but I am afraid that even with the help I am looking at around $150 to open 3 wholes....Yikes!

I can ask my father in law rogger, he is a plumber. Not sure if he usually uses that type of tool. but he has tools up the wazoo

Rogger,I have a 1" masonary bit.I used it to get through the CBS wall.It would be a bit more work, but you could drill a series of smaller holes in a circular pattern. Then just punch the remaining pieces of block out using a cold chisel(I have one of those also). If you are going to put both holes side by side,I also have a concrete saw,but it may cut too large an opening. You're welcome to borrow any of the gear.Darcy
