Anyone have a fish trap I could borrow?

Hey Guys,

It has been a while since I posted or have even been on the boards. Been really busy with everything.
Anyhow I have a real big problem. I came home today and found a few of my fish dead. I appears they have marine velvet.
The other fish are starting to show signs of the illness as well. I managed to catch a few of them and place them in quarantine but I cannot catch the others. So my question is if anybody has a trap or slurp gun (sp.) I could borrow to catch them and treat them.

I have no idea where the disease came from since I have not added anything or done anything different. The fish also did not show any signs of ailment, and they all have a healthy appetite.

If anyone has a something I could borrow or if anyone knows where I could buy something please let me know. I have already lost my Sohal and two swallowtail angels :(

Tank is SPS so it is kinda hard to maneuver in there.
Any help is great just post here or call me at 954-801-9815 ask for Mike.

Thanks everyone,

Mike

gatorade or 2 liter pop bottle works. cut in half and flip the top side over. I drilled 2 holes and then zip stripped it shut. caught every fight except the one I was trying to catch, but with some patience it will work! Good luck.

Thanks guys. I think I am going to try the 2 liter bottle method first. Since it seems easiest and I have a bottle on hand.

If that fails I will be giving you a call Rogger. LOL.

Thanks again for the advice and help guys.

You can also make a quick trap with eggcrate and zip ties. Just make a box from the eggrate. Zip tie it all together except the door. Rig the door with fishing line, put a small rock in the box to weight it down, bait it and put it in the tank. Don't worry about watching it - let the fish get used to it. Leave it there till the next day. The next day when you bait it you will probably have fish enter it very quickly. Pull the string to close the door and you've caught your fish.

Hey Everyone thanks for the tips. I have caught the fish and all seem to be doing much better now that they are being treated.
