anyone know what this is

I noticed one of these a while back on a piece of live rock and it died when I was on vacation in Florida and I found these a few days ago and they appear to be the same thing. can someone tell me what this is?

If you mean the white-ish thing on the upper right of the second and third picture, that's a sponge - very common and not dangerous at all.

Hmm, ok I'm really mostly guessing because of the quality of the image, but try looking up "ball anemone " or pseudocorynactis".

Yep, based upon the apparent white ball tips, and the fact that this is Caribbean rock, I'd say pseudocorynactis (or corynactis), a very common hitchhiker, and not a problem to anything we keep.
