basicly what im looking to do is build a stand to support 3 29 gallon tanks i have laying around, this project is just in the idea stages so nothing is set yet. What im looking to do is make a vertical tank about 6 ft tall with the top tank adding another foot and a half for a total of 90 inchs high. i know somewhere i have seen this done with 40g breeders. just wondering if this is do able and if it would be structurly same(because of the highth). i could cross brace the back and put extra support in the front and back but the front is the main concern with no added support. anyone seen anything like this? should i use 2x6's for added support? any help apprciated.

well no plans drawn out yet i may just go with a 20 long on the bottom ( means buying another tank which in turn deats the reasoning behind this design) will try to scrath something out while im at work tommorrow have some scrath drawings but bassed on what i have in my head 6" is pleny of room to work on the tank but live rock in the 2nd or missle tank maybe a problem hence the smaller tank which i believe would give me 6 more inches of room( or i could shorten the top a bit could put this next to my 80 and line it in through the sump but basicly top tank is the main tank here middle tank would be a fuge and bottom tank would be the sump.... damn just mesured my floor to cealing and its only 96 inches may have to rethink this one a bit or cut out the sump easy to build just a stand with a tank underneath. damn thoguht i was onto something
