Anyone use Tahitian Moon Sand?

I have used it for over four years in my 11g nano. It stays very clean. I like it so much that I have added two bags for the 11g's transition to a 15g. It's also very nice looking and does not seem to reflect light the way white sand bottoms do.

I have it mixed with regular white sand, twice as much white as black. I really like it.

thanks, looks like it doen's have any buffering capabilites, i wonder if the seachem gray coast black sand would be better for me? I was just worried black would be hard to keep clean, but maybe its worth a try.

Most sand does little pH buffering, ime; if it's dissolving, something is terribly wrong. Only if it dissolves, as aragonite does in a low pH environment like a Ca reactor, does it add Ca to the tank. A good two-part solution is my method-of-choice for my nano.

Your mileage may vary and that's just my .02... :)
