anyone used an ASM G3

i'm looking at buying this skimmer for my 100gal. anyone using one? are they good? any others skimmers better around that price?

i think it is the best skimmer for 240 you can buy. i have one on my 90 and it keeps it super clean.

for a 100g it'll be ok, I have a 150gallon attached to a 40g with a common sump and my ev180/eheim1262 pull more in 12 hours than the asm g3 would in 3 days.
granted like twon stated for $240 you won't find a better one.
its 299 for a ev180, and its another 129.00 for the eheim 1262.

i suggest you look into the recirculating and gate valve mods and feed it directly from your overflow.

i had done both mods, removed the recirc as it worked better without it on my setup.

I have a G3 on my 90g, works pretty well just not big on how it's made

If I had to do it over I would buy a ER blem for my 90g

asm vs ev180, I would hope the ev180 works better since it $70 short of being twice the price of the G3. I would think a G4x would be a better match
