Anyone using bulkheads for running plumbing through drywall?

I will soon be plumbing my tank and the sump will be in a room just behind my tank. I want a neat, clean look for the plumbing where it goes through the wall. I can't find any pvc fittings for this application so I am thinking of using bulkheads. Just drill the correct size hole in the drywall, install the bulkheads and attach the pvc plumbing. Seems like it should work. What do you think? Am I missing something?

I don't think that's how they (bulkheads) are made to be used. For a clean look plumbing thru a wall, there are trim rings for plumbing, different sizes and finishes. Look under your kitchen or bathroom sink, there should be some sort of trim ring where pipe exits the wall. HTH!

Why have another joint? Use a trim ring (Escutcheon).

Thanks rick s ,
That's it, Escutcheon
I couldn't remember what the darn trim rings were called last night

through the wall

through the wall

I used 2" than ran my 1 1/2 through that and capped it with some fitting I had laying around from the pool store. Having the pipe inside the other ensured I had no water ever leaking or condensating between the walls not a good thing for your insullation or drywall

That's the great thing about this forum. You ask a question and get the answer your looking for. The escutcheon is exactly the way to go. Anyone have pictures of their plumbing with these installed?
