I would like to know if anyone has a 55 gallon with a 29 gallon for a sump/fuge....pictures would help....also just some thoughts on how you set it up and how it works....thanks

That is a broad question. Set it up how? I have pretty much the setup you are looking for but it is a 75g with a 29g sump. You can see what I have for equipment in my tank description. I think the only thing missing is that I use a Quiet One 3000 return pump. I would recommend 4*54w T5 lighting for a 55.

I have had my 55 gallon up and running since july of last year....i took down my 29 gallon...i want to now put the 29 under the 55 for like a sump/fuge but want some ideas on how to set up the 29 gallon...what skimmer, how to stack the rocks...just want to see some ideas.....sorry for the broad question....do you have pics Pete1399?

Got it. I do not have pics. I am cycling my tank now and I havn't had the time to upload pics yet. My skimmer is a Coralife Super Skimmer 220, good skimmer for the money IMO. Put some baffles in that 29g and you will have a nice sump and fuge. One note, make sure you know the footprint of your skimmer BEFORE you go through the trouble of putting in your baffles! Mine just fit, I was lucky.
I am still moving around my LR to get the die off removed. LR aquascaping is hard to plan on until you have your rock and know what size and shapes you are dealing with. Look at some tank pics here on RC to get a good idea of your liking there.

I would like to get the coralife super skimmer....but my problem is that the 29 gallon is so tall not sure how I would set up the skimmer....I guess maybe just try to find a good hang on filter....

You will end up needing about 30" of clearence for the skimmer to be seated properly in the 29g. The skimmer has to be raised about three inches in the sump to work.
