APEX & Actiontec DSL Wireless Modem

For the Actiontec GT724WGR, I am trying to do port forwarding. I can access the APEX and an AC3 through the wireless router, but the APEX does not show on the list of devices allowed for port forwarding. Actiontec told me because I am using a static address for it, it does not broadcast. Has anyone else used port forwarding successfully with the Actiontec. I can do it with my AC3, but not the APEX. Thanks in advance.
