They have like 2-3 stars in reviews. Haven't read why but I'm sure cause they malfunction, and Neptune didn't want to cover there products.

I use one when I'm on vacation and never had a problem. The only issue I've noticed, is the feeder cup sometimes doesn't move all the way back into the unit after it feeds. But it doesn't seem to cause any issue with the actual feeding.

I am not going to use as a day to day basis. Going to use while on vacation. I have a Eheim but not sure how long can a battery last on it. Plus I want to control when needed.

I use an eheim in my office tank. I replaced the battery in September or October and it's been solid since. It still turned with the push button 2 Year's into the battery it shipped with btw.
