Issues

Datalog dumps for no apparent reason, I can check it today it's fine with 12 entrees, two days from now it will show an hours worth.
Power off Alert does nothing, power can be off for an hour and it show nothing
Probes come with what looks like a 10 foot cable, why would temp be half that length?

Enhancement requests

Allow at least 5 characters for the device name
Allow email configuration via aquanotes (config for Aqua III)
Allow Config of everything via Aquanotes (had I know this wasn't the case I would not have purchased it)
Add additional reporting to aquanotes, I just want a nice color graph that shows the staticis on a week by week basis for any length of time.
Guest accounts on the Aqau III (This is a must have)
The Language is fairly easy but why not add drop downs for configuration to the web site? Or at least a description on the bottom of the page. I have to look up the syntax for Random each time.
FTP kit (At least file names and descriptions) so we can modify the standard website and integrate it into our own.

Ideas/ Questions

Why not sell kits for features like liquid level and flow detection?
Do they make an X10 device that can control a 1000 watt ballast?

The datalog in the controller is reset if the controller's clock is set, the controller is reboot, or a power failure occurred. I suspect that one of these 3 has occurred.
Do you have a backup AC power adapter installed? If not, the power failure will not be detected by the controller. We do sell a temp cord extension for $14.95.
Thanks for the suggestions for enhancements; these will be put on our internal wishlist. We are awaiting on compiler optimizations/bug fixes before releasing a major enhancement to the Aqua3Pro firmware. Many of the items you requested are planned for this firmware update.
You should be able to use the wall outlet control module CM227 to control the 1000 watt ballast (assuming it is 120V).
Like most companies we have a limit amount of time and money that we can send on R&D. We can't do everything, so we have to prioritize which products to develop and which features that these products will have initially. As the product matures we will be adding new features and accessories. Let us know what you want and we can then prioritize our development efforts.

For the power failure feature to work you would need two AC power adapters installed? How would that work, if one fails wouldn't they all? Does the second one need to be on a UPS?

Yes, the second AC adapter would need to be plugged into a UPS. The controller, router, dsl modem, etc. must remain powered or there is no way that an email could be sent out.
