aqua c remora question

I bought my Skimmer about 3 weeks ago and have had it running since then. Just recently it has been pulling a lot of slightly brown water out of the tank. i hadthe skimmer cup all the way down but have been adjusting it constantly. What do others that have this skimmer do about this problem? What is a good height for the skimmer cup to be inserted in the skimmer itself?

It all depends on how muc foam is being produced. When I was curing my live rock I had the cup almost all the way up on my Urchin, and it still pulled out nasty brown stuff. However, recently it has dramatically dropped in foam production and I had to lower the collection cup in order to get foam to overflow.

I have had my Remora for 2 weeks and it is working great. It pulls out 1/2" to 1" of nasty brown liquid every 24hrs. I have the cup positioned about 3/4 of the way down. It foams up like crazy, but not after feeding or when hands have been in the aquarium. I clean the tube part of the collection cup daily because otherwise it gets all funky with brown slime, I don't know but it may be possible that a build up of gunk keeps it from producing as well.
