aquafuge 2 for 55 gal

Hello all- I am looking at adding a HOB fuge and thinking about aquafuge 2. I have a 55 gal with middle braces. I can fit the small next to my reef octopus HOB skimmer but would need to put skimmer in fuge of the medium. i have pair perc's female 13 years and just laid eggs again, pair golden assessors, pair lubbocks, flame angel, yellowtail damsel and new melanurus wrasse, shrooms, zoa's and star polyps. getting a lot of algea growth. doing water changes, shortened lighting period, reducing feeding and running phosban. I had a homemade fuge for years with chaeto and am looking to add a fuge. Will the small be beneficial? Will the skimmer work in the medium and be a better benefit?
Or is there a better HOB fuge option?

Why are you putting the skimmer in Aqua Fuge? Isn't that defeating the purpose of having the fuge?

Thanks for the reply. I was asking if it would be better to use the 19'' fuge with skimmer in it or the 13'' with skimmer on tank.. but to make it fit I would have to put the skimmer in the fuge. I have 23.5 inches between the brace and the reef octopus would fit with the 19'' fuge but will with the 13''.
