Hi all - Nubee here -
Anyone w/knowledge about Petland offshoot, Aquar. Adv? New one opening locally -

Am torn, I want to "dive in" and start a SW tank again (1st exp. was not good, was "advised" by "knowledegeable" LFS guy. will post one day) Want to do Nano, I think I'm disciplined enough to manage it but, I have stand and florescents (sp?) for 75g (from old setup) and the above store has 75g tank on "sale" for $75 -

I'm thinking larger would be better for my illustrious rtn to SW, but I'm put off by startup cost on such a large setup - thoughts?

Thanks in advance - Great site y'all are running here!

The one by me is better than many other places you go to...However a lot of the fish are overpriced and the corals are usually in pretty bad shape. Most of the drygoods are overpriced although they have sales a lot which makes up for it. It's a cool place to go look around but I usually stay away from buying things from them unless they have a sale or I can't find it somewhere else. Oh yea, the staff is pretty good, they usually know their stuff, however they will use that to try to get you to buy things.

thanks for the heads up! Was likely to go and check it out at least - If nothing more, I'lll at least get a better idea (hopefully) of what some of the stuff I'll ultimately want to pickup

the one by me gets down to normal LFS prices when they have their 50% livestock sales. they have usually had the best prices on tanks in town but all other drygoods are overpriced
