aquarium depot

Great Place big everything from Koi and fresh water to saltwater and corals alot of dry goods and live rock and sand interesting place to say the least

I was there yesterday-tons of potential. Will go there again in a couple of months after they fully stock the place.

yeah Jack the owner is just letting everything settle in right now he doesn't want to fully stock everything yet he is gettin fish shipments about 2times a week right now and honestly his prices are the lowest I have seen in the area!!I've known Jack for about a year and he's a great guy he runs the fish store at Denios farmers market at well.. I went by there yesterday and picked up a Beautiful Sailfin Tang and 8 blue/green chromis...all the fish in there looked superhealthy the saltwater selection was a little low yesterday since he's been selling soo much this week. But go stop by he going to have an actual grand opening in the next month or so after everything is fully cycled and ready then he'll start having some more exotic corals as well. he had some beautiful green Carpet Anenome's there also yesterday i was very tempted to buy one and a nice mystery wrasse also.. My favorites thouh were the beautiful Queen Angels he had=) It is definately worth taking the trip to go check it out. It's like 1.5-2miles from Your Reef..

If memory serves me correct its 317 w. ivy st. roseville.. but check the local LFS sticky thread at the top of the page the addrress is in the last post I believe

Totally agree, the place has tons of potential, Jack and his son are great guys, and the prices are going to make it the leader in the area if he can keep the fish going in and out the door.

They have a shop at Denio's Auction same type building it dont get hot.
I thought the same thing when I first went out to Denio's store I was suprised they didnt even need a chiller.

That was actually the very first saltwater fish store I've ever been to when I first started saltwater and I got my very first fish there.(tiny maroon clownfish for 9 bucks, still have her today, shes in my 180. :) )

I couldn't agree more. This will be the very best store in Sacramento Area.
I spoke to the owner for almost an hour. His name is Jack, super nice guy.
He told me that he will adding a lot more fishes and corals in coming weeks.
Because of the nature of his store (wholesale),
everything will be super fresh. No waiting game like others.
Jack able to get any hard to find items with the lowest price, just give him a 7 days notice, sounds promising.
Have you ever seen any live rock sells for less than $3/lb? (wink wink)

I was looking for a one of a kind naokao wrasse, wasted half a day with some missleading information by some moron. Went to that little store that full of red bugs in their display tank.(I need to go back and count how many fishes they have in stock with those dinky little tanks) To make the long story short, Jack will have one or two ready on this coming Friday. He is the man!
Bamm Bamm is right! Everyone should go check this store out, they should be fully stock in 2 weeks.

Funny - When I purchase a live fish, I prefer that they are not "super fresh" (fresh from the whole seller). I'd rather have the LFS have them for a few weeks before I purchase the fish to make sure it's eating... :P

Anyway - I am looking forward to seeing this new store.

But stores won't often get rare or touchy fish because they have a good chance of dying in the store since it isn't anywhere near as nice as a private tank or with the level of care needed for the specific fish to become acquainted with captivity. So if Jack can get them in and sold, we the customers will have a better chance of a cool selection being readily available. I just got a venustus angel from him last weekend.

To be honest yes but it wasnt worth $3. a pound..
Now have you ever seen live rock in a LFS thats worth $9 a pound go for $3 a pound ? Now thats the question
They have some of the cleanest nicest looking rock Ive ever seen you can pull 100 pounds out of a vat and people will think you hand picked it

Who's the moron, we would all love to know.
That little store treated there red bugs a long time ago. Not 1 left.
I love the way you advertise YOUR favorite store while bashing another. Classy.

John- I am the moron, but that is nothing new to any of us :D

I said "a lfs" and he must of assumed I meant Yourreef. But you what they say about "assume"

that fish must of been really "one of a kind" even though I have had two. Or maybe it was not a mispelling and it was really one of a kind ;)
