I was in Montgomery yesterday and had the opportunity to visit Aquarium Fantasies. Wow! He must have had hundreds of corals in stock and he stressed the point that everything was for sale. He is directly importing his corals and rock and there was some nice stuff! Prices appeared good too. He has just expanded his store and will have more room. If you are going through the Montgomery area, this store is worth a visit.

Where is it at Jonathan? I dont really live to far from Mont., its really about the same distance there as it is to Tein's for me. Do you have an address?

It is in the Atlanta Crossings shopping center...corner of Eastern Bypass and Old Atlanta Hwy. It is across from Eastdale Mall, if you know where that is. If you need directions let me know.

The fish looked good and their was a fairly good selection. He will not sell any fish until he has watched them for two weeks (you can put the fish on hold, as many were). He said he had sold a lot before Christmas. I was truly floored by the corals though and did not pay as much attention to the fish as I should have.

Robert and Jordan went to Aquarium Fantasies and needless to say (and judging by how much they bought), I think they were impressed with the corals. I am going to try to find out when another shipment is coming and see if I can't show up soon after the corals.

WOW, you brought this one back from the stone ages. Was reading that going man who are the folks. Then noticed skilos asking about fish and was thinking why would he worry about the fish he has his own store? Then I looked at the dates. Also why did you say what for anyway?

Biting my tongue.....Biting my tongue.....Biting my tongue.....talked to an employee from there yesterday Biting my tongue.....Biting my tongue.....he has done it again Biting my tongue.....forget it I dont need no more holes in my mouth and besides, I didnt revive this thread SO......

A customer was comtemplating buying a 180 from this place, the price was for a new 180. He found one used for a better deal, purchased it, and ATTEMPTED to buy water from the place mentioned in this thread. The owner, (according to the employee) saw the attempted purchase from the back on the camera, came out from the back STOPPED THE SALE, BERATED THE CUSTOMER FOR NOT BUYING FROM HIM AS DISCUSSED, AND UNPOLITELY ASKED HIM TO EXIT THE STORE. I understand there was almost an R D Mercer ***-Whuppin involved.

Just the facts.

Just to set the record a bit more straight...and really not wanting to get into a big thing with the previous poster.....which I'm sure will happen......if it's anything like last time I'll get a PM from him saying "it's all good" after he called me a liar in a post. May be good for you my friend, but it sure isn't for me.

I spoke with the same employee. His version of what happened was a bit different than what was told in the above post.

The customer did indeed purchase a tank elsewhere after spending a lot of time in Aquarium Fantasies. From what I have pieced together, it was purchased from a shop in Prattville. The customer then came to Aquarium Fantasies on a Tuesday and wanted to buy 180 gallons of salt water. The owner did indeed see the customer on the camera from his office. He came out to talk with the customer....presumably about the 180 gallon system that had been discussed at length. The owner then learned that the customer was there for water and had purchased a tank elsewhere. The owner then informed the customer that he didn't have 180 gallons of saltwater available and even if he did, he would not want to sell it all to one customer as Tuesday is his busiest water day since he is closed Sunday and Monday and customers with existing tanks would need both RO and SW.
Maybe the owner did sound frustrated since he had spent so much time with this person offering advice and working up prices. The employee I spoke with did not make it sound like there was any berating or Roy D. Mercer moments at all. Sounds to me like the previous poster may have embelished "the facts" a bit.

I have absolutely nothing to gain by posting this. I will not, however, sit here and allow someone who was not even there who has an obvious issue with this shop to blow things out of proportion. I want to retierate that I was not in the shop..I only spoke to the employee who was there at the time.

I do not know the customer either. Maybe he can post and settle all of this....

What I do find odd about this whole thing is how this thread was revived with a post that said "what." Then a normal post after that, then broreefr's post. Odd to say the least.

Just my facts.

I went there two weeks ago and met the owner. Seemed like a good guy and was very nice and helpful. Fine looking corals and healthy fish. I'd recommend a trip there.

Just my facts.

Boatwizard had a pleasant expierience at the store good for him, and I hope it doesnt change for him, that is kinda what the boards are for, to post expieriences and share facts.

PLAYA - I did send your ignorant *** a post telling you it was all good. I explained to your ignorant *** that the forum was a place for healthy debate and that it should not be taken personally. You apparently do !!!! Not MUCH into calling people LIARS but if I saw you as wrong I would have pointed it out for sure

other people read this forum just like you do - other people know jim and have their opinions why do YOU feel the need to protect him so let him defend himself - he reads these boards - who in gods name do you think it was that signed up in august posted a few meager posts, then revived this post trying to prop up his lowly business - JIMBO thats who. If I have something to say, I say it CLOWN. let that grown *** man defend himself, unless their is some type of improper relationship going on between the two of you :eek1:

You are apparently brillilant, after all the posts I made stating FACTS about this clown, you figured out that I have somethiong against him, what a winner you are. Uh yeah I got something against him, duh. - all you can do is attack bham stores with NO facts and take up for your Boy. Tell the whole story, I told you when I pm'd you that if Tien had screwed you over that WE all want to know about it - NOTHING - u r a punk thats why.

You dont need to worry about a pm from me telling you its all good fool cause it isnt, publicly I say - you want to make this personal and take up for jim FINE. you want to take a personal attack on me NOT FINE - lets take it off the boards fool - we are close - designate a time and place and I will give you a fair shot at the title to stand up for your woman's honor. No use firing on the boards. be a man - or woman, as we dont know who is top or bottom in you and jimbo's relationship.

Dont need to hear anymore of your obvious lack of wit - no use talking anymore - I will look 4 the pm with the designated place, I will be there and happily designate your *** for dismembership

BROREEFR OUT-----------AND WAITING :bum: :smokin:

Easy there Bro...
Didn't mean to make it personal. You seem to be the one who likes to post facts...I was curious as to the events you mentioned, so I asked about it.
Healthy debate as you call it is one thing...threats and name calling are totally inappropriate.
I sincerely apologize if you took what I posted as personal. That was not my intention.
