Are my clown fish dumb or just uneducated?

My first new fish, 2 tank raised true percs, about 1.25-1.5" long each. I have tried feeding them brine shrimp plus flake, mysis shrimp frozen, frozen brine shrimp, formula one frozen, soaked in garlic and selcon, if a peice happens to come by their face they usually eat it, they go to the top sometimes, but are not aggresively going after it when they do. They look very healthy.. always swimming around etc (granted usually in a corner, never in the rock or anything).

How can I get these guys to actually go after their food, I assume since they are tank raised they do not have the smarts to actively search for it and be aggresive. I do not want them to starve, they only get a couple little peices each feeding time (twice a day).

Also, I have never seen them sleep, always swimming, even in the middle of the night.. this normal?

thanks

They might be living off copepods, mysid shrimp, etc. They'll eat when they get hungry or accustomed to the food.

my tank seems to be without pods, I have yet to see any, its driving me nuts lol Hopefully soon they will start being more aggresive with the food :)

My clowns are never really still. They wiggle around in the BTA.

They will eat when they are hungry. If they are eating some, and look healthy, I wouldn't worry too much. If they are looking thin, then start looking for a new food.
