Are Southdown and Yardright the same "tropical play sand"?

Ive got a bud that found some of the yardright at a local garding store. says its the 100% carribean tropical play sand.

is it the same? if not, are there any negatives about it?

Yardright and southdown are the same product made by the same company just in a different bag. If you look at the small print on the back of the back it says made by Southdown.

I use Yardright sand in my tank and so far it has worked great.
 
If the bag looks like this then you found it. Congratulations!!!

its hit or miss, i nthe summe theres alot more, its used for sandboxes, it does make a big mess let me tell you, when my cloud settles im going to put in some heavier sand maybe, if ican find some heaver grain white sand il lput it on, if not ill let the bacteria help to weigh it down

No mess here and this is when the water was going in.

i tried that same way once before in a tank I had and it still clouded on me. Wasn't VERY bad but it did. Southdown was bad about clouding for me even if the sand was disturbed in anyway.
