Are the Coralife Super Skimmers any good?

When I set up my 29 I got an old Seaclone skimmer from my brother. It isnt very good. I would like to upgrade soon, but the thing is it has to be a hang on becuase I dont have enough room in my sump for a in-sump skimmer. I was looking at the Coralife Super Skimmer for 125 Gallon and was wondering if it was any good. It would fit my application perfectly! And it is also a good price.
So does any one have one of these and could tell me how they are, and then some more specific measurements, like how high to skimmer cup
Thanks in advance,
Patrick :)

Just get the Coralife. You will be happy. I had the same problem of no room in my sump, plus a small sump, so I just hung my skimmer off of the sump. I had it HOB of the tank for a while before I set up the sump, and it works great both ways. Probably better off of the sump though, because the overflow is pulling off the surface of the water where its dirtiest.

First of all do you have the RIo pump? Someone said that they suck and I was just wondering what you thought.
Would the 220 be overkill on my tank, it is about 39 total gallons. And also I dont know if the 220 will fit, it would be close...

Do not get a 220, it will look rediculous as a HOB, even the 125 will look kind of doofy...I bought my 125 CSS for my 55 gallon and it looked dumb so I was forced into building a sump for it. I would check into the 65.

Ok, so it is between the 125 and 220, the only reason I wouldnt get the 220 is because of size issues. But then again it isnt that much bigger than the 125. Anyone know of the cheapest prices around for thoes. The 125 is 127.99 and 220 168.99 at Drs F & S.
Thanks

If someone could please help me search the internet for the cheapest price for the ccs 125, I have dial-up and its hard to do. And also I dont know all of the best sites for ccs 125, im just searching the RC sponsors
Please

I just ordered the 125 yesterday. It will be coming in Thursday. I'm looking forward to trying it out. Got mine from Drs. Foster Smith.

i got mine from drs. foster smith for my 50g qt not to overall happy with it sometimes it works sometimes it dosent ..once you get it figured out to the best setting don't touch it the more i mess with it the harder it is to get it back skimming again and the micro bubbles o man don't get me started. but for the price its decent

When you all got yours, did you have to wait a while for it to produce skimmate? Mine has been on my tank for 2 weeks, and there are lots of bubbles, but nothing is produced

I'd start playing with it. Go from full air and work down. If that doesn't work go no air and work up. By 2 weeks you should be skimming something.

We are remodeling are house and I got my parents to buy one if I help the rest of spring break, and i wash their cars.
Sweet, so the 125 from Drs F& S it is, I will probably start a new thread once I get it if I have any problems.
