Armadillo Snail?

Does anybody knoe what type of snail this could be? It is about 1/2" long with an Armadillo looking shell. It's shell has 8-10 segments. I can't get a photo yet, I'll try latter. Anybody know a place were I can look at different snails and try to ID?

do worry it will show up again. look for the missing patch of algae if you have any these guys are like lawnmowers for your tank. good to have!

there is one species that loves to eat coralline.

When I read the info quickly it was talking about it scraping like a knife, so I assumed it wasn't good. It tended to disappear quickly. Plus, I didn't try to kill it, I squished it when I pulled it off the rock.
