Arrested anemone split

Angel*Fish

cats and large squashes
I bought an anemone that grew a new mouth the second day I had it - it was stretching, stretching and then it got all happy looking and "snapped back" and now just has 2 mouths:worried: I believe that both of the mouths are fully functional

I found an old thread where you had posted on this and wondered if you have anything more to share on the subject. I am hoping that it will decide to start splitting again but assume it has definitely stopped because it is now accepting food and more than a week has passed - Would that be a safe assumption? Any comments, opinions, experience or speculation would be most appreciated.

Ahh, what the heck... :D

I have never seen an abortive split resume.

Indeed, you can even find both anemones and corallimorpharian "shrooms" with four or more mouths, indicating separate but consecutive failures to split.

Thanks for the reply:)

Maybe it will try again successfully later.. Hey, maybe they could "both" split at the same time -and I could look into the tank one morning to find four anemones!( I'll let you know if that happens:lol2: )
