as good as liquid life coralplankton?

I've used both. The coral plankton seems much more concentrated, but that is just by judging from the color. It also contains Pavlova algae for Tridacnid clams.
The Hikari rotifers do not seem as concentrated, but keep longer in storage (freezer vs. frig). The corals appear to react with a better feeding response to the Hikari, but that could be due to ingredients other than just the rotifers themselves.

why does liquid life only refrig, not freeze?
To keep it more concentrated possibly? If they sold it in frozen cube form, they would probably have to charge a lot more. It does contain some type of preservative though to help keep it.
Also, it could be a different kind of rotifer or prepared differently than the hikari.
