My tank has been up and running for about 2 weeks now, a 90g with 30g. The rock was already cured (from a local reefer). One of the endless questions I seem to come up with each day is the skimmer waste collection. After about 3 days the cup is almost half full and its just very green (assuming algae), not brown like you see in alot of pictures. This normal for only this amount after 3 days of not being emptied? Its adjusted so the bubbles/foam end about half way up the collection cup.
All I have in the tank is 120ish pounds of live rock and 18 crabs and 18 snails.
