ASM G4+ Gate Mod Sizing

I want to do a DIY Gate Mod on my ASM G4+. What size PVC and gate valve do I need? I know its larger than one inch (largest i have in the house).
It looks like 1 1/4 or 1 1/2.

Anyone know for sure before I go out and test it with small pieces?
