asm g4 plus recirc mod footprint

im in the process of building a sump for a 210 gallon aquarium. i want to know how big i should make the intake section of the sump where the skimmer will be sitting. the footprint of the skimmer without the recirculating mod is 11.5" X 16"

how big will the footprint be if i had the recirculating mod done?

I JUST DID THIS MOD. A FEW DAYS AGO AND IT DEPENDS HOW YOU POSITION THE PUMP. I TRIED TO DO IT WHERE THE PUMP GOES DIRECTLY INTO THE SKIMMER LIKE IT SHOWS ON ASM SKIMMERS WEBSITE BUT I DIDNT HAVE ENOUGH SPACE SO I HAD TO RUN IT PARALLEL WITH THE SKIMMER AND USE 90 DEGREE ELBOWS. I WOULD SAY YOU WOULD NEED 19-20 INCHES OTHERWISE, CONTACE ASMSKIMMER.COM IF YOU WANT EXACT DIMENSIONS.

just got a reply from asmskimmer.com. he said 14"x15" should do the trick if anyone is interested.
