What you you guys think-- about taking a G4x making it recirculating. then feeding it with another N/W pump. (Like a OR3700) Would that much water feeding it , mess up the recirculating part?

Most reciculating skimmers are fed about 1.5X-2X tank volume so that you have as much contact time as possible. I think it would be to much flow and wont work as good as with a smaller feed pump. HTH
