Atlantis Shades of Fall

I had it. It came from a local reefer. Mine never made it past the large frag/mini colony stage before my tank crashed.

OK, here it is after being "excavated" from a pile of ovegrowing acros. I feel bad for letting such a gorgeous coral get burried :o At this point I'm fairly certain it's the nasuta that Doug posted.

Anyways, it's obviously not as violet as my original pics. Hopefully now that it gets light again  it'll color up more :D

Yours looks more like my PL which I'm sure is just a product of a different environment more so than it being a different coral.

I've seen the pink lemonade before... I don't recall it having those cup shaped nasuta coralites.

Todd, I think ours came from the same member. I wish they would post a picture of the parent colony.

It never looked quite as good in my tank as it did theirs, although the Flame Angel seems to keep the polyps hidden.

I think you are correct about that. Yea, I never did see the parent colony either. Though, if my memory serves, she brought that frag over while watching my tank when I was out of town.

And that shows how odd angels are -- my flame never touched it.

purchased as pink lemonade, having my doubts as this one looks much closer to shades of fall.

Unfortunately these two were both called Pink Lemonade at one time so you may have bought it or from someone who purchased it under it's former name. Both are high end corals so you did well either way.

Actually it is the other way around. The original coral called Shades of Fall by Atlantis was the same coral as the Pink Lemonade. When the Pink Lemonade name stuck, Atlantis named the coral you see in many of the pictures above Shades of Fall.

Agree though both are very nice.

Got this straight from Atlantis. Stays bright green with pink tips lower in the tank. Grows much faster up high but loses the pink. Under 20k, point and shoot.
